  1. When it was Science Week I was really excited and looking forward for all the awesome and amazing science experiment we were going to do. At Monday when we done some crazy experiment, I had a tremendous time. I enjoyed all the experiments and my favourite bit was the volcano eruption. The thing I found really funny was the smell of the bicarbonate of soda and the vinegar when it was mixed together. It had the most disgusting the most horrible and the most yuckiest smell I had ever smelt. YUCK! My second favourite experiment was to float the shiny money on top of the lemon. We actually couldn't float any but it was still extremely wet and it flooded the table. At the afternoon when we done the solid and liquid treasure hunt which was quiet pleasant but unfortunately I only picked up two materials. This was the most funniest thing ever happened in school. It was when we saw the smashed egg under the orange cones and I was aching with laughter.

  2. When we put the shiny coins on the floating lemons because I found it really fun eventhough none of them wouldn't balance. It was so fun I didn't want to leave that part. I thought the floating lemons was quite fun even if the shiniest coins wouldn't balance and I did not care a bit if they didn't balance. I was so looking foward to Monday 27th January 2014 and dress up as scientists.

  4. My favourite part in science week was trying different experiments. I was looking forward for Mad Scientist day as I got a chance to dress up as a scientist.
Our first experiment was the floating lemon and I loved it even though it didn't float because the lemon was slippery. So, it didn't work as expected by my group.
Our next experiment was to make the milk run away. It was fantastic as it worked properly.
Enthusiastically we started our next set of experiments which were to make an egg float and to see if we can prevent the water from falling out of an inverted glass using a piece of paper. It worked but on my second go the water fell down all over me. And then I suddenly saw the egg cracked. I was laughing so much that I was about fall down.
Our next experiment was to make the milk blast out. The water grew but it didn't blast out. When I smelt the bicarbonate soda it was as smelly as dirty socks.
Our last experiment was to sort the paper clips using the magnets. That was really fun. I had a wonderful time and my favourite one was the amazing floating lemons.
I hope we have an another day like this.

  6. when I put my hands in the cornflower goo my hands my hands sunk stright to the bottem. It was very gooey .when I tried to make a ball it just turned back into a liquid.if I turned it into a ball it would turn back as soon as I left it.Mrs.Fresco told me it was not a solid and not a liquid but it was called a colloid

The Science week was the most amazing and exciting week I have ever had. There are lots of favourite parts in the science week. The science week was all adventurous with wonderful experiments like floating lemons and magnetic experiments. There was even an awesome surprise from Miss Henderson, when she showed us a colossal and stylish Lamborghini car.I was super thrilled when I saw the doors opened up instead of side.I even had fun at home making science projects.

  9. On Monday 27th of January I was so excited to dress up as a mad scientist. When I got to school there were different experiments on each table, on yellow table there was cornflower and water mixed together to make Cornflower goo( Cornflower goo was also the name of the experiment). We had to try make a ball using the cornflower goo but it was impossible because I done it but as soon as I took it out it went back all soggy. On Blue table there was a bucket of water with floating lemons( Floating lemons was also the name of the experiment) and there was coins on the side of the bucket. We had to balance the coins on the lemons and see if we could balance it for 3 seconds (now the thing about that is it done the exact same thing as the Cornflower goo except instead of turning into a liquid it fell/slipped straight off the lemons). On Orange table there was a flat pallet and inside that there was a mixture of milk( this experiment was called Magic Milk) and fairy liquid and next to the pallet were three cups and in them three cups there was food colouring. What we had to do is get a peppet , squeeze some food colouring inside the peppet , squeeze it onto the milk and fairy liquid and when the food colouring hits the mixture the mixture will move away to the side away from the food colouring. On purple table there was a glass full of water and there was a laminated sheet of paper( this was my favourite experiment) you had to hold the glass with the laminated sheet and not hold the bottom ( this is the funny bit) when I put it over Harvey's head it fell all over him. The last experiment is the volcano eruption on Green table you mixed vinegar and bicarbonate of soda to make it erupt. My favourite part of Science Week was when On Wednesday Miss Henderson said there's a surprise outside and when we were walking I heard he revving of a car and I saw a Lamborghini with the doors opening upward. Lenny, Diego, Jeevan , Madison and Harvey got to sit in the car. Thank you for all the hard work all the teachers put in to science week it was the best week of my life.
